HOST DISTRICT!

Today in study hall I needed to use the computer and out of habit I immediately checked my e-mail, not expecting to find anything. Much to my surprise I found and e-mail from my outbound coordinator the subject was D1730. I opened the e-mail and found out that I would be hosted by district 1730 in southern France if everything goes as planned. I also found out that I will be leaving the US on August 25, 2010 to arrive in France on August 26,2010.

I don't know what city I will be in yet or what host families I'll be staying with but I'll be in this area:

This information is making me so unbelievably excited, I honestly can't even put into words what I'm feeling right now. In exactly 180 days I will say goodbye to my familiar world and get on a plane into a new world to live with a family I've never met and speak a language I don't speak. Although I am painfully aware of how hard this is going to be I am still so excited.

On March 8th I will be attending my local rotary club meeting because that was one of "assignments" we were given at our last district orientation so i will update with that later. Also, this Saturday I will begin my search for my navy blazer..whoo!

On a completely off topic note, spring break is in 4 1/2 weeks! My mom, my sister and i are going to Cabos, Mexico and I am so looking forward to a much needed break from school!
